With 8 years of experience in battery electrochemistry — from synthesizing electrode materials at IIT Bombay, to solving real commercial cell challenges at Collège de France and Tiamat Energy in Paris, to current research at Argonne National Laboratory — I've spent my career working on lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery materials, electrolyte design, and cell degradation analysis, trying to understand what actually happens inside a battery cell, why it fails, and how to engineer solutions on the basis of that diagnosis.
